The cottage has five bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 persons:
First Floor Bedroom: One Double Bed with private half bathroom
Second Floor Master Bedroom: One Queen bed
Second Floor Bedroom: One Double Bed
Second Floor Bedroom: One Double Bed
Second Floor Bedroom: Two Twin Beds
In addition to the half bath in the first floor bedroom, there is an additional half bathroom on the first floor, an outdoor shower, and a full bathroom with tub and shower on the second floor.
Amenities: The kitchen has a stove and oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and several smaller appliances: toaster, food processor, blender, and automatic coffee maker. A washing machine and dryer are in the pantry. There is Wifi access. We do not have a landline, so cell phones are necessary for phone calls.
Water: Our water source is the river, and we use that water for washing, bathing, and toilets. There will be several jugs of water at the cottage available for drinking and cooking, and we will provide directions for where you can refill them on the mainland as needed.
The cottage is accessible by boat only, and a boat is not included in the rental. There is a single slip boathouse along with outside docks. While more than one boat can be tied up at the outside docks, we face the main shipping channel, and long term docking is not recommended on these docks. Renters are responsible for securing their own boat and finding appropriate places to launch and dock on the mainland. Various marinas that rent boats are just a short distance away, and the cottage owners can provide more information as requested.
The cottage looks out on the main shipping channel of the St. Lawrence Seaway, as well as to beautiful sunsets. One can swim off the dock with its swim ladder. There is a walking path around the perimeter of the island, as well as paths on the interior. There is a small post office on the island, but no commercial facilities. The village docks in Clayton are less than ten minutes away by boat.
